How to: Name a constant value in a worksheet.
Solution:
Select 'Name' from the 'Insert' menu. Define the name for the constant value on the 'Define Name' dialog box.
1) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Name'. (A submenu appears.)
2) Select 'Define...' from the submenu. (The Define Name dialog box appears.)

3) Type the name for the constant value in the 'Names in Workbook' box.
NOTE: Start the name with a letter or an underscore. Do not use spaces and hyphens in the name.
4) Type the constant value in the 'Refers to' box.
Naming a constant
NOTE: The constant can be a number, text, a True/False statement, or an array.
5) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Add' toadd the name and keep the dialog box open.
b) Click 'OK' to add the name and close the dialog box.
NOTE: When a name is defined for a constant value, Excel automatically places '=' (an equal sign) around the constant in the 'Refers to' box. If the constant value is text, Excel also places quotation marks around it.
